Kairos Watchtower
Material-change detection over DePIN supply-side telemetry. Five mechanical
detectors, run on your watchlist. Every event ships the upstream source, its as_of
stamp and a verify_url you can call yourself — plus an explicit statement of
what the observation does not establish.
Watchtower does not forecast. It does not price, rank, or
recommend. It reports what changed in the numbers a network publishes about itself, and hands
you the source so you can check it. Every alert names its own limits.
What it watches
372networks with live telemetry
11,127live series under observation
295reading the network's own endpoint

The five detectors
All five are mechanical. None involves a model, a fit, or a judgement call about where a
number is going. The examples below are real events from a live run.
1 — Utilization divergence
Paired capacity and demand series growing apart. Pairing is strict: a
lease-derived numerator is never crossed into a provider-reported denominator.
AKT cpu_active vs cpu_total
demand and capacity growth separating by more than 5 points
over the window, with both series from akash_console and the
as_of stamp of the reading that produced it
2 — Supply dilution
Token supply moving beyond the materiality bar, measured between two
observations we hold, on one named source.
Reported with both endpoints of the window and the observation
count behind them — never a single-point reading.
3 — Telemetry loss
A series with an established cadence stops arriving. Series that fall
silent behind one source at one timestamp are reported as one incident, not one
alert per field. The cause is never asserted.
HNT hotspot_count_total (+1 more from the same source)
silent 22.6h — 22.7x the established 1.0h interval
source: helium_entity_api · last seen 2026-09-05T19:03:01Z
4 — Frozen value
Rows still arriving on cadence, but the value has stopped moving. Invisible to
every liveness check, because nothing is down. Only fires where the series demonstrably
was moving before, so a genuinely fixed quantity never trips it.
AKT GPU_MODEL_RTX4090_PRICE_MAX
unchanged across 167 observations, after 6 distinct values
in the preceding 23 days · source: akash_console
5 — Cross-source disagreement
Two independent sources publishing the same metric name for one network with
different values. We do not assert either is wrong — they may define the metric
differently, or sample at different times.
Both values ship, both sources named, both verify_urls included.
Why the alerts are quiet
A monitoring product is worth something because its silence is trustworthy. A chatty
detector is worth less than none. Two rules do most of that work:
- Quantization floor. An all-integer series moves in quanta of 1, so on a
small base one unit alone clears any percentage bar. A 1-GPU pool going to 0 is not reported as
a “−100% divergence”. Those candidates are suppressed and counted.
- Co-stop grouping. Six fields of one GPU model going quiet together is one
incident, not six alerts.
On a recent scan of a 14-network watchlist these two rules took 76 raw findings down
to 33, with 43 suppressions each carrying its own stated reason in the
response. Watchtower never drops a finding silently — a monitor that does is
indistinguishable from one that found nothing.
The Monday IC Pack
A two-page brief for your investment committee, generated from the week's events. Every row
carries its source and an as_of you can re-read. It ends with the questions worth
asking — not answers we cannot support.
When nothing crosses your thresholds, the pack says so plainly and says why that is a result
rather than an absence of work: every series on your watchlist was read on its normal cadence
and nothing was material.
